As a well-respected hotel collective, PHĀEA Resorts has spent decades building a name for itself amongst the hospitality landscape with a successful marriage of luxury, authentic family values and a distinctly Greek identity. Shaping a series of original hotel blueprints across Crete — each one synonymous with local engagement, responsible Mediterranean living and high-end design — the group has established a significant presence and has an esteemed reputation for its efforts within the realms of sustainability and circularity.
After identifying several ways in which the group’s media, consumer and internal messaging could be further strengthened, Noble Co. crafted a new visual identity and brand strategy geared towards revamping the group’s existing marketing materials, whilst refining its key pillars and messages for increased engagement amongst relevant stake-holders.
The name PHAEA nods to ancient Greek Homeric poetry where the word ‘phaea’ alludes to the ‘light of the eyes’ and a specific feeling of joy and happiness. Drawing inspiration from Cretan and Mediterranean culture, our logo design and identity employs simplicity and tactility whilst underscoring this very feeling of lightness, distilled into a single poetic word.
To convey the brand’s authentic and timeless appeal we paired International Klein Blue — a shade of pure ultramarine — with a palette designed to be contemporary and distinctive. Paired with a poetic use of typography, and bespoke photography that take cues from everyday moments — envisaging a slow-paced lifestyle and the charm of simplicity that come together effortlessly.
